your voice, your choice
As someone who's family experiences mental illness that can put the lives of my family members (who are say in a manic episode of bipolar) I'm passionate about resources to call to support folks in crises. My family called the police once because we felt like we had no other choice and it was the wrong choice. It could have gone worse and does for a lot of folks. So how do we address that from the community with licensed clinicians and ways to keep people in crisis safe.

Rough cost estimate: Between $2 million and $7.2 million

❌ This idea would incur costs indefinitely.
Justification: This request will be fulfilled by the ongoing Dual Dispatch project CSCC is rolling out in Fall 2023. Program costs are determined by the size of the program.
Other notes: CSCC already has a program to address this need starting in Fall 2023.

Be a part of that legacy as we officially begin collecting ideas on how to spend $27 million dollars of the cities budget through our current Participatory Budgeting Process.
