This proposal is being evaluated
Type of funding: Programs and services (non-capital)
Rough cost estimate: Under $500,000
Evaluation notes:
❌ This idea could not be implemented without changing current policy or law.
✅ This idea is within the City's jurisdiction.
✅ This idea doesn't name a specific vendor.
❌ This idea would incur costs indefinitely.
Justification: We recommend conferring with SDCI. This project could result in policy reccommendations and inform code changes. Additional information is needed to understand if limiting development standards for exisiting structures has benefits to BIPOC communities. If code changes are made, costs would be incurred to ensure ongoing compliance and enforcement.
Other notes: OPCD works in close coordination with SDCI on numerous land use and code amendment considerations. What would be the proposed expenditure of funds - staff time/consultant to develop a policy proposal?
