Help Elder with free healthcare and housing
Elders go through a lot with dealing with health issues and the fact that they grow old. So give them free things that they desire.
This proposal has been rejected because:
Type of funding: Infrastructure (capital)
Rough cost estimate: Between $2 million and $7.2 million
Evaluation notes:
✅ This idea could be implemented without changing current policy or law.
❌ This City doesn't have jurisdiction to do this idea.
❌ This idea names a vendor, which would violate open contract laws.
❌ This idea would incur costs indefinitely.
Justification: Medicare and Medicaid already available. City and County have housing options for seniors
Other notes: Health care access is available at the state/federal level. Housing for seniors are offered by County and the city funds housing projects.

The Seattle community has a long legacy of advocating to get our needs met.
