Rural hollistic retreat centers
Send folks to Black and Brown ran farms, outside of city centers to heal and return to Earth. Folks are traumatized from economically, violent conditions. Provide them housing and meaningful work to ease their stress and minors. Safe space to live and away from the connections that led to addiction and stress.
This proposal has been rejected because:
Type of funding: Infrastructure (capital)
Rough cost estimate: Between $2 million and $7.2 million
Evaluation notes:

❌ This City doesn't have jurisdiction to do this idea.
✅ This idea doesn't name a specific vendor.
❌ This idea would incur costs indefinitely.
Justification: This idea would not involve Parks and Recreation, as it is proposed outside of Seattle City Limits and off of Parks property.
Other notes: This proposed idea might benefit from a reassessment from a different department.

The Seattle community has a long legacy of advocating to get our needs met. Be a part of that legacy as we officially begin collecting ideas on how to spend $27 million dollars of the cities budget through our current Participatory Budgeting Process. The event will include live Dj sets all day from Toya B and Vitamin D, a special youth step team performance, an open mic, and FREE FOOD from Ezelles’ Fried Chicken, Lil Red’s Catering , Winnie’s Cafe and Deli, and The Greedy Vegan.
