Reinvest in “Bicycle Weekends” on Lake Washington Blvd
These weekends are for more than just cycling. Thousands of people of all backgrounds enjoy the lake every summer without having to worry about dangerous drivers on a select few weekends. Drivers often dangerously disregard the signs. Which makes sense because no reason for the closure or detours are given.
1) Invest in clear signs and detours.
2) Re-brand the weekends to be more inclusive of other uses of the park.
3) Bring food trucks, music, and art to the park.
