Soul Cafe will be a community centered cafe that serves more than coffee. This cafe will offer a warm and welcoming space for patrons to enjoy their tea, coffee, and light bites. There will be a stage providing an intimate setting for poets, musicians, and artists to share the art with community members. As an educator, I intend to foster an environment that supports students in art and tutoring after school by offering rewards for volunteering patrons.

Justification: Funding is procured for long-term community centered café and funding would support start up.
Other notes: OED offers programs and funding for small businesses with programs and resources by connecting them to operating capital, alternative financing, navigating government regulation and processes, tenant improvement grants, permit support, and commercial space technical assistance, legal and business resources, and 1-to-1 consultation.
