Community Events Project
My idea is to work in different neighborhoods to host community events specific to that community. I think this would be great for building a greater sense of neighborhood identity while providing a space for neighbors to meet each other and spend time together in a space without the expectation of spending their own money.
This proposal has been accepted because:

$27 Million Dollar Cookout
The Seattle community has a long legacy of advocating to get our needs met. Be a part of that legacy as we officially begin collecting ideas on how to spend $27 million dollars of the cities budget through our current Participatory Budgeting Process. The event will include live Dj sets all day from Toya B and Vitamin D, a special youth step team performance, an open mic, and FREE FOOD from Ezelles’ Fried Chicken, Lil Red’s Catering , Winnie’s Cafe and Deli, and The Greedy Vegan.
