I AM M3: 24 Hour Shelters
24 hour shelter with drop in services for youth girls ages 13-21. We will have 20 beds. This shelter will be located in Renton. Services will be warm meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, hygiene supplies, safe place, onsite clinic, onsite mental health, case managers, homework assistant, art class, cooking class, game night, budgeting and credit class.

Type of funding: Infrastructure (capital)
Rough cost estimate: Between $2 million and $7.2 million

❌ This City doesn't have jurisdiction to do this idea.
✅ This idea doesn't name a specific vendor.
❌ This idea would incur costs indefinitely.
Justification: This is feasible if the services are offered within the City limits rather than Renton.
Other notes: This idea would incur ongoing costs and may be better supported by the KCRHA.
