Justification: This is a request for resources for Black community to connect with the land. Further detail is needed to understand the specifics for the programming and where the project should be implemented.
Other notes: SPR has Environmental Education programs in neighborhoods with high BIPOC populations, but I am unsure if we have any programs specifically for the Black community.

$27 Million Dollar Cookout
The Seattle community has a long legacy of advocating to get our needs met. Be a part of that legacy as we officially begin collecting ideas on how to spend $27 million dollars of the cities budget through our current Participatory Budgeting Process. The event will include live Dj sets all day from Toya B and Vitamin D, a special youth step team performance, an open mic, and FREE FOOD from Ezelles’ Fried Chicken, Lil Red’s Catering , Winnie’s Cafe and Deli, and The Greedy Vegan.
