OED works with BIPOC businesses to ensure they have the resources, capital, technical assistance, and other business needs that would support this proposal. Funding to support more BIPOC owned businesses would build a larger ecosystem of Black businesses.

The Seattle community has a long legacy of advocating to get our needs met. Be a part of that legacy as we officially begin collecting ideas on how to spend $27 million dollars of the cities budget through our current Participatory Budgeting Process. The event will include live Dj sets all day from Toya B and Vitamin D, a special youth step team performance, an open mic, and FREE FOOD from Ezelles’ Fried Chicken, Lil Red’s Catering , Winnie’s Cafe and Deli, and The Greedy Vegan.
